Goodness- time flies. Today is a day to remember as it is “the man” my Daddy’s birthday. Wow it has been forever it seems since I’ve heard his funny cackle/laugh or seen his smile but I know he’s where he should be.
As I contemplate what to blog about in discussing his birthday, there’s one thing that comes to mind– Daddy’s compassionate love. He cared and loved every person he met. He learned that from the word of God. He was a true believer in not loving someone to death but loving them to life. He preached on that one Sunday as many of you remember. In the Bible, we read how passionately God believed in love. He sent his son to die on a cross for us.. WOW! God loves us SO much. My father was a great minister, friend, and dad, & one of his biggest passions was loving everyone the way God directed us to do so and he did, no matter what anyone had done to him he loved them with every ounce he had. Daddy was passionate about life & loving the way God wanted us to.
In memory of my father in 2011- I ask that everyone who reads this blog- love passionately. Forgive others. My daddy would, that’s what God wants. Jesus died on a cross for all of our sins. My father had accepted that and in turn wanted everyone to know about God. He accepted every person he met as a child of God. He loved everyone no matter who they were or what they had done. That’s my goal this year to love passionately in the way God expects his children to love people just as my precious sweet Daddy did.
Until next time, love you all.
